Candor Mission:

  1. At candor we exist to fight isolation and the feelings of being alone through foundational community.

  2. Skits, music, sports, etc are all mediums to bring about this community but the realness is found in meeting our deepest needs through community in all ages and aspects.

  3. We believe that isolation impacts health and wellness more than just about anything.

  4. At candor, religion and Christianity are not a requirement or even an encouragement but plays a key purpose in its desires and beliefs.

  5. We believe in a well rounded perspective at Candor and desire to have a deep foundation in history, culture, and language when studying the Bible and to leave room for each and every hard question.

  6. We do not stand on an “all or nothing” perspective and seek to wrestle with every question and concept as a whole.

  7. We believe that the Bible is the inspired work of God and the Holy Spirit, that Jesus was a real historical figure who died for the sins of humanity, and that all the writers of the Bible wrote the Bible with a deep understanding of culture, history, themes, symbolism, and poetic-ness and that the study of the Bible becomes most clear when pursuing it in these ways.

  8. We believe in a space for wrestling with all questions and to leave room for critiquing and pursuing answers in a careful, deeply studied, and pursuant way and to leave room to sit in the discomfort of not knowing all the answers.

  9. We believe in a deep value of rest and believe in a weekly sabbath or resting, playing, and not working and that this can have profound benefits in our wellness.

  10. We believe in a beautiful and shalom based world and it is the purpose of humanity to bring peace to chaos and to cultivate the world to be beautiful for all of it’s inhabitants.

  11. We believe in caring for the most vulnerable in society.

  12. We believe in reversing evil through bringing shalom to chaos.

  13. We do not seek to evangelize or convince.

  14. We believe in suffering as a community and seek to celebrate each others wins and losses.

  15. We believe in being fully honest and authentic and to bring your full thoughts, insecurities, and troubles into the community and to bring light to them as quickly and as often as possible to gain freedom

  16. We believe in the power of prayer and habit based prayers.

  17. We believe in everyone being welcome to this community whether Christian or not and to bring all grievances and damage that have been done by Christianity in the past into the community to wrestle through it together.

  18. We believe following earths patterns is what we were designed to do and is most beneficial to our health.
